About me

I work within the Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach, in line with the guidelines of the IFS Institute and the Trauma Research Foundation (USA). This is a model developed and researched for its effectiveness in trauma work, emphasizing safety, mindfulness, and deep connection with the client’s inner world.

I graduated in Psychology from the University of Birmingham (UK) and completed IFS psychotherapy training accredited by the IFS Institute (USA). I am currently undertaking an advanced course in complex trauma therapy (cPTSD) — Traumatic Stress Studies (Bessel van der Kolk, Trauma Research Foundation).

I participated in a research placement at the University of Leeds (Institute of Psychology) and studied abroad at the Faculty of Public Health, University of Eastern Finland. I also completed a degree at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Medical University of Warsaw.

At the same time, therapy is less about my intellectual background and much more about creating a space of relationship, feeling, compassion, and gentleness. I have been cultivating these qualities for many years — through meditation and compassion practices, in my work with people, and in my own IFS therapy, which has had deep significance for me.

I view human difficulties and suffering in a multidimensional way — through the lens of life history, neurobiology, the social system, and inner spirituality. I see them as responses to experiences often undeserved, shaped by disrupted environments — past or present.

In my work, I am guided by respect for diversity. I support people of different faiths, backgrounds, gender, and sexual identities. I ensure the quality of my work by engaging in regular supervision.

Beyond individual work, I find great joy in facilitating group processes — workshops and support groups that I organize several times a year. These focus on building relationships through play, movement, singing, and music. I aim to support participants in creating connections that last beyond the group process itself, helping to counteract loneliness.

Trauma is an experience many of us carry silently — often with feelings of loneliness or shame. I have gone through my own IFS therapy process, which allowed me to experience profound change in places where it once seemed impossible. Over time, I came to understand that the root of my difficulties was trauma — so common, yet still treated as taboo and rarely named as such.

Through inner work, I was able to soothe those parts of myself that needed understanding and care.

This personal experience is not a burden, but rather a valuable resource — a source of compassion and authentic understanding that supports me in accompanying my clients on their own journeys.
